Using the cards

Sell and load cards right from your POS. Customers can check their balance and pay with the card at your counter.

No expiration. No fees.

Standard cards are printed with "No expiration date. No fees." Federal law requires gift card funds to last at least five years and limits inactivity fees, and California and several other states ban expiration dates and most fees on gift cards. Keeping cards fee-free and non-expiring keeps you on the right side of the rules wherever you sell.

Cash back on small balances

Some states require you to give cash for a small remaining balance when the customer asks. In California, that's any balance under $15. Check the rule for your state and make sure your staff knows it.

What's printed on the card

Your business name, phone number and email, "No expiration date. No fees.", and how to check a balance or replace a lost card. Required disclosures go on the card itself, not just on packaging.

You're the card's issuer

Cards carry your business name, so your business sells and honors them. Keep track of outstanding balances, and check your state's unclaimed property rules for cards that are never used.
